Dear Compatriots,

We are pleased to invite you to attend a special event to celebrate Compatriot Karl Briel’s 70 years as a member of the Massachusetts Society. We will have several special guests, honors by our Color Guard, and presentations of The National Society’s 70th Anniversary Certificate and The War Service Medal and Certificate.

Karl Briel proudly served ten years in The United States Army Air Forces, attaining the rank of Major. During World War II, he flew 38 combat missions in the Pacific Ocean Theater as Commander of a B-29 Superfortress Group for the elite 58th Bombardment Wing. For his heroism, Karl Briel was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star, and Presidential Unit Citation.

This celebration will be held at The Overlook Community, 88 Masonic Home Road, in Charlton, MA, at 11:00 AM on March 17th, 2012. You will enjoy a luncheon of Autumn Salad, Oven Roasted Turkey with Herbs, Stuffing, Cranberry Sauce, Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Seasonal Vegetables with warm apple crisp as desert. The cost for this special occasion is $23.00 per person.

Please make your reservation before February 27th so that we may provide the restaurant with a list of attendees, . Payments may be sent to our Chapter Secretary, Wes Wratchford, at 129 Cherry Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545 beforehand, or may be made the day of the event.
